    When a sender sends out a message to a group, all members of that group are able to reply to that message. The problem is instead of replying to only the sender, the reply gets sent out to all members of the group.

    I have made a modification to our Front End PM PRO [ https://sp-test1.arogga.co/support/topic/allow-sending-even-if-not-a-member-of-the-receiving-group/ ] So that management can broadcast memos to certain departments or all employees, however, we don’t want replies to the memo being broadcast to the group.

    Besides this being a privacy concern, all messages are also sent out to the recipients via SMS causing undue strain on our SMS resources (and annoying others that receive a message that is not for them).

    If I enable “Add Announcement ◻ Can permitted users add Announcement from front end”, I guess I would need code similar to “allow sending even if not a member of the receiving group” to allow only management to send an announcement?

    Does the announcement feature send out emails as well or is it strictly an internal thing? If it does send mail notices, then I would not need management to send messages to groups (use announcement instead). If it does not, then I would still like to restrict replies to original sender only, if the message is worthy of sharing with the group, then the original sender can forward it to the rest of the group.

    You can follow https://sp-test1.arogga.co/support/topic/create-announcements/#post-26559 to allow other role users to send announcement.

    Yes, announcements also send email notification.
