Hi,
There’s one thing I’m missing in FEPM Pro : the ability for the users to mark (or bulk marking) announcements as read without deleting them, so that the corresponding alerts disappear.
Let’s take an example. A user has been away for a long time and didn’t connect to the site. Meanwhile, numerous announcements have been published. When he’s back, the “unread” header will stay there until he either actually reads (or at least display in another window using right-click | open in another tab) each of these announcements or bulk delete them. What if he wants to get rid of the alerts header while deciding to read the announcements later ?
Or maybe I missed something ?
Thanks.

Of course but that’s not the problem I explained in my example. Let’s assume the user has dozens of announcements pending and he doesn’t want to open them now one by one to get rid of the alerts header. How should he proceed ?
Currently, what I do in such a situation is to right-click each announcement and open it in another tab. I don’t necessarily read them because they might be too old or irrelevant. Then I close all tabs and refresh the page to get rid of the alerts header.
I’d like to be able to bulk mark multiple announcements as read.
Thanks.

If you can use hooks you can usefep_announcement_table_bulk_actions,fep_announcement_bulk_individual_actionandfep_bulk_action_messageto achieve what you wanted.I can add this feature in next version of this plugin.

Yes, please. Since this feature is already available for messages, users are somewhat confused to not have the same possibility for announcements.
Thanks in advance.

I strongly support Patrick’s request. The capability exists for messages and is very handy.
Users have a hard time understanding why the same function does not exist for announcements. Please let us have as soon as possible. It will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Oops, My name in the post is not correct. Patrick Philippot left out our organization and I have taken over.
My name is Denis Marchand. I changed the name in the account profile but it remains unchanged in subsequent replies of the pot.
How can I get the name to change in the posts?
Many thanks in advance.
