Let me know.February 14, 2017 at 6:34 pm #2953Josh KremerParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.February 14, 2017 at 9:41 pm #2959Shamim HasanKeymasteryour admin-ajax.php is blocked for non admin users by any other plugin or custom code. So non admin users can not create ajax request from front end.
You should consider unblock admin-ajax.phpFebruary 15, 2017 at 5:24 pm #2967Josh KremerParticipantThat’s good to know. Can you tell me how I would unblock that file?
February 16, 2017 at 8:12 am #2980Shamim HasanKeymasterWhen non admin user try to access your website admin area they see a error that they do not have permission to access. Which plugin show that error message?
February 17, 2017 at 5:35 pm #3071Josh KremerParticipantI’m not sure what you are referring to. I am using a theme that controls access to pages if that is what you mean. It is a membership theme.
The file permissions for admin-ajax.php is 644. Does that need to be changed?
February 17, 2017 at 6:23 pm #3074Shamim HasanKeymasterplease log in to your website as non admin user, Then try to access your website back-end. You will see a error message.
Which plugin/theme showing that message?
If you do not know then please change your theme to default theme and then try to access your back-end, If you can access then your theme is doing that. Otherwise any plugin is doing that.February 17, 2017 at 7:45 pm #3077Josh KremerParticipantOh I understand now. It is the theme that is displaying that message. Do you have a recommendation to fix that? Thanks!
