I’ve made several updates to my existing templates, etc. Will they stay in place after I update the plugin?
I don’t want to lose my changes..

better you can update in your staging website, then test. if everything works then update in production website.Let me know if you need any assistance from me.

Should I just backup the plugin folder, then install the new version and restore what gets affected?
Are there any template files from 8.3 that won’t work anymore in the new version?

It will be better if you can update and then work on new template files. Please backup full website (files and database) then update.
November 17, 2019 at 4:14 am #31227SteveMTNOParticipantI just replaced the existing contents of the front-end-pm-pro folder with the files from the new zip file. I made a backup on the folder first.
Everything looks good, but all of the existing messages are gone. What do I need to restore to get the old messages back?

There should be a button in your website admin area top notices that Front End PM PRO database needs an update. Please click proceed and start update. Depending on your number of messages it may take some time.November 19, 2019 at 8:47 am #31303SteveMTNOParticipantThat did the trick.. thanks!
