Hello,
We recently tested the free version of this plugin and were very happy with the features. We wanted to support the plugin (and also include the multiple recipients feature) so we purchased the PRO version.
Now that we’re into more extensive testing we realized there’s been a significant increase in our machine’s CPU utilization after installing this plugin. Before using Front End PM the CPU utilization would stay around 10-20%. With Front END PM, this seems to raise constantly, until it reaches 80%-90%, at which point it is being throttled back by our cloud provider (AWS).
I imagine this mainly caused by the in-browser notifications which continuously query the server for updates.
My questions here are:
1) Is this bump in CPU expected or are we doing something terribly wrong ? Is there any way to find the exact root cause of this ? We’re certain this is caused by the plugin because it goes away if we uninstall it.
2) What can we do to mitigate this? If notifications are the cause, is there any way to turn these off completely and maybe implement a simple “refresh” button on the message page ?
Thanks

How many users are testing simultaneously?
Please usefep_filter_ajax_notification_intervalhook and increase the value to300000and test if that helps.Let me know.

Not a lot of tabs, maybe between 10 and 15 tabs and 3 to 4 users.
Not doing any sort of capacity testing right now.Will give your suggestion a try.
Is there any way to pull new messages on demand – e.g. via a refresh button or similar ?Thanks
February 21, 2019 at 11:59 pm #21895Shamim HasanKeymasterYou can use like
<button value="Refresh Page" onClick="window.location.reload()"> - AuthorPosts
